Understand Your Statement

- Payment Information
Features the amount of your payment and the date by which we must receive it. It also displays the amount we received since your last statement and shows how it was applied toward your principal, interest, and late fees. - Account Number
Identifies your unique number assigned to identify your student loan payment activity. All loans that have the same due dates are printed on one statement. For loans with different due dates, you will receive separate statements. It’s important to always make sure you include your account number on all the correspondences you send to us. - Your Name and Address
Lists your name and mailing address as it appears in our billing system. Always make sure that this information is current and notify us of any changes. - Loan Details
Itemizes your account activities for all loans that have the same due date. Details for loans with different due dates are itemized on separate statements. - Loan Type
Identifies the type of loan(s) you have. - Loan Number
Identifies the number assigned to a particular loan type. If you have any inquiries regarding a specific loan, use this number to help you isolate it from the others on your statement. - Interest Rate
States the current interest rate on the loan – expressed as a percentage. - Original Principal Balance
Shows the original amount borrowed, which includes the amount disbursed and any applicable origination fees. - Total Current Balance
States your total current loan balance; this includes your current outstanding principal and interest, as well as any unpaid late fees owed as of the date of the statement. - Total Interest Paid
Reflects the total amount of interest you’ve paid to date on a particular loan. - Total Paid
Discloses the total amount you have paid toward principal, interest, and late fees over the life of the loan to date. - Amount Past Due
Identifies an amount previously billed to you that remains unpaid as of the date on the current statement. - Minimum Payment Due
Shows the minimum payment required for each loan. The total indicates the amount you must pay by the due date as indicated in the payment information at the top of your statement. - Special Messaging
Displays important information about your account as well as special offers and benefits. - Payment Coupon
Provides important processing information that must be returned when you pay by check or money order. If you pay using our auto-debit payment program, a note that your payment will be automatically deducted from your checking or savings account will appear in this area.
